My Lino work

Above, one of my more successful prints. I enjoyed creating swirls in the ink upon the lino by applying in with a roller, then removing some with a sharp folder paper. This created a juxtaposition between the harder straight cuts of lino texture, and a swirly organic feel to the ink on which the negative space letters stand forward. I applied red, blue and green ink to the lino prior to printing to achieve this blend of colours.

Above, a "posterized" version of my original print which I created on photoshop. This effect has flattened some of the ink colors and textures.

Above and below are black and white opposing inverted versions of my original print. I created these images through applying a threshold range in photoshop. The strong black and white contrast creates a bolder image.
